I got an IPad for Christmas last year, and, for good or bad, I use it A LOT. It’s great for things like Facebook and gaming. Admittedly, Angry Birds is rapidly becoming my newest addiction.
The problem for me lies in the fact that there is so much to choose from. Probably too much. I’m finding fascinating, little known articles on obscure stuff. And posting them to Facebook, probably driving my friends a tad crazy. I’m hoping, though, that they find these things as interesting as I do.
In college in the late eighties, I still read actual paper books, and did most, if not all,of my research in the physical library. The building itself. I had a black and white TV with not more than 13 channels. Now, I don’t have to even leave my bed. A physical TV is not even necessary. Sure it’s easier, but I’m not entirely convinced it’s a good thing.
And please, don’t get me started on the plethora of information there is out the concerning the current political scene. Technology. Too much of a good thing? The jury is still out for me.
